Antec Engineering acquires the industry leading Stud Welding operation of Epitech Products
Effective 16th November, 2009 Antec Engineering has acquired the business operations of Epitech Products including the Australian distribution rights for ArcFix Stud Welding, HBS, Hilbig, AVT Anti-Wearing Technology and Koco.
Despite the effects of the Global Financial Crisis and the resulting business downturn, Antec Engineering has been engaged in a pro-active growth strategy resulting in the recent acquisition of the Asia/Pacific operations of KBS Passive Fire and now the business operations of Epitech Products.
"The acquisition of Epitech in conjunction with the KBS Passive Fire operations increases our product range significantly, allowing us to offer a greater range of services and products to our existing client base within the mineral processing, mining, petrochemical, construction and manufacturing sectors" states John Clare, Antec's Managing Director
"The Epitech stud welding operation compliments the existing service and product offerings of Antec Engineering adding to our existing range of refractory anchors, hexagonal mesh & tabs, reinforcing fibres, general wire forming capabilities, paddle & pan mixers, gunite, shotcreting, concrete, grout, refractory & mortar pumps, passive fire protection systems and dust suppression product ranges."
"Rather than "bunker down" during this economic downturn, we made the decision to actively expand our service & product offerings giving us greater opportunities to service our existing customers as well as expand into other complimentary industries. With signs of recovery already visible, Antec is well placed to take advantage of future growth as the opportunities present" concludes John Clare.
Effective 16th November, 2009 all Epitech business activities in Australia will be undertaken by Antec, including sales, marketing, purchasing, administration, warehousing, shipping, technical support and customer service. As part of the purchase all Epitech management, sales and marketing staff are transferring to Antec providing uninterrupted service for all Epitech clients. In addition the current range of Epitech products will remain unchanged.
The operations of Antec & Epitech have been centralised into the one location at 9 Chicago Avenue, Blacktown (existing Antec premises) with the Smithfield operation of Epitech closed. The 9 Chicago Avenue premise has been expanded to accommodate the move.
